Isabel Lopes
Figurative art, with special relevance to faces and bodies
"Born in Miranda do Douro with roots in Galicia and the North of Portugal. Isabel lived and worked in places as varied as the North of Portugal, Angola, Morocco and the Azores. Since 2017 she lives in Algarve.
My favourite theme is the expression, whether facial, bodily, artistic, sexual, cultural or other because it has the capacity to transmit information. It is up to each of us to interpret it according to our knowledge, emotions, values and personal experiences.
Painting is brushing an empty canvas with inks, feelings and emotions and filling it full of expression.
Luís Direito
From an early age he dedicated himself to photography and painting...
"Luís Direito was born in Angola in 1966 and lived in Nova Lisboa (Huambo) until he was 8 years old, when the war between party factions, in the pre and post independence period of Angola, forced the settlers and many natives of Angola to abandon the country to which they would only return many years later for a few years. (2008-2009 and 2011-2015)
He worked as a photojournalist in several paper and online publications, mainly related to motorsport and today he works regularly as a real estate photographer and occasionally exhibits his analogue photography work.
The photographs represent a return to analogue black and white, through the lens of a Leica M7, especially of the beautiful Algarve region, its landscapes, cities and people.
Carita Hemsley
Painting is my passion. I see beauty in the little things, and I paint what I see.
"Born in South Africa and growing up on the doorstep of Kruger National Park, I have always had a love of wildlife and plants. I studied Game Ranging and Wildlife Management, ending my career in South Africa as an Environmental Scientist. I moved to the Algarve in 2021 and became a self-taught artist in 2022. I started with watercolour paintings but have since expanded to acrylic paintings.
The subject matter in my art varies, but I try to incorporate wildlife and plants wherever possible. My goal in my art journey is to create paintings that trigger happy memories for people. If I can create something that contains even a small flicker of a memory of hot summer days or spending precious time with family, friends, and pets, then I have accomplished that goal. "
Carita's preferred medium is acrylics, but she also appreciate the subtleties of watercolours.

Filip FORTUNAT Kurzewski
Come into a world where everything is possible…
Space and the world surrounding fgures appearing in Filip drawings are not captivated by the frame of reality. It may draw from reality, but in some parts, it is always a fantasy. It is the encounter of reality and Filip vision, whose interpretation he leaves to the recipient. In drawings, Filip uses repetitions in order to create an atmosphere through the addition of various colors that change the perception of the content and accent different details of the artwork. Carola Colley
looking for the sublime in the simplest of things
A multi-disciplinary contemporary artist working in oil, watercolour and egg tempera, mixed media sculpture and ceramic. At the core of her practice is drawing - from life, from landscape, from artifacts in museums – pencil to paper and from there work develops.
" I am interested in connectivity; interconnectivity, mycelium networks, the lines we walk, the marks we make. I am interested in liminality; the spaces between, at the edge, the undefined moments between this and that, the grey. I am interested in similarity; pattern making across the globe and across the ages, texts and textiles, words and gestures, that are definitive proof of connection and similarity rather than difference. I am interested in repetition, weaving, the creation of beauty out of the mundane, looking for the sublime in the simplest of things. "

Joanna Lola Styrylska-Galazyn
love nature, surprising colour and rhythms
"I am a painter and an illustrator. I combine the classic art workshop with the digital one. I paint, illustrate books, design posters and covers. I love nature, surprising color and rhythm. I collect archival photos, old clippings from colorful magazines and vintage knick-knacks. In my works, I often use the collage technique, combining seemingly mismatched elements. I like to put together a variety of contrasting patterns. I play with form and color. I create original designs and illustrations that are often used as design for commercial products and posters. My works are full of unusual associations, contrasts, multiplication, patterns and an explosion of color. My hallmark is the large accumulation of compositional elements. Maximumism is closer to me than minimalism. My achievements include many individual and group exhibitions."
As an illustrator and graphic designer, Lola works with individual clients and publishing houses in Poland and abroad. Clients include: Kraków City Hall, Jagiellonian University Scientific Publishers, CKNorwid Cultural Center, Nowa Huta Heritage and Identity Studio, Huta Sztuki, Nowa Huta Cultural Center, Faktor Kultura, Fund Partnership Foundation, Akordeonus Records, Parlophone Records, Uniwersal Music Polska, Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne , MGMusic, Krakovia Produciones Publishing – Chile, Planeta Sostenible Publishing – Chile
Miguel Neves Oliveira
Long time ago crossed the boundaries of the gallery and the picture frame.
His sculptures and installations evoke unknown layers of emotions and impressions.
Miguel Oliveira’s work is an ode to unpretentious art despite being born from a complex cross between outsider art, land art, impressionism and expressionism. While mainly focusing on wooden sculptures, the artist also uses plastic paint, pigments, resins and enamels. His work appeals to an environmental awareness with a particular ennoblement of the materials. Miguel finds inspiration in confrontational authenticity between the isolation of being and the community observations. “Inspiration, to me, comes from strength of will! Among other things, getting back to the studio and start again or continue the work that is waiting for me… It is my space of freedom and this is very inspiring to me”.

Guillermo Pedrosa
More than pigment on the canvas
GUILLERMO PEDROSA embraces a creed creative force today, with its epicenter located in the pictorial matter. It is precisely in this, the background of the pictures together in their ideology, space and surface to volume ambivalent is slowly gaining presence, not as the venue or lack of it, but he found in authentic settings painting. Origin and destination at a time of anti-forms that houses, among both the path required to meet diametrically opposed principles, laxity and momentum, statics and movement, objectivity and subjectivity, order and randomness ...
Progresses subtly painting and stops before the nebula persistent charged atmosphere, the colors lose their glow evanescent rise again condensed into blocks aligned hurtful as stakes in the heart of the vacuum, light. Pedrosa seems to have assimilated the details of a stale abstract expressionism, the artist cleverly revitalized breaking the shackles of the past to draw from the old school now converted Certain universal signs, which include the expression and specific plastic feel, the vitality of the painting itself, or the destruction of the image and its symbolic associations. Although this inner need shed in patches, treading, granular oleosidades are the result of capricious whims, arising out of the often indescribable inner state, the truth is that Pedrosa trace a sort of imaginary line between logic and perhaps visible inconsistency between the mystical beauty chromatic harmonies remain organizing spaces, and the faint, fleeting gestures atonal emerging between asymmetric geometries like ghosts or shadows on the wall random. The canvas-wall lights includes silent reflective, the unfinished tracks automatic handwriting, the distant echoes of a closed non-existent and perfect scenery, now destroyed and drowned in the plastic material (bitumen, oil, pigment, latex ...) that expands without limits. In other words, Guillermo Pedrosa once again questioning the eve of the painting, the previous idea that from the systematic reductionism makes art theorizing, suggesting the survival of the individual, that I living and dying in every process of creation.
